| CLASSIC TOY REVIEW #3 INHUMANOIDS – D’COMPOSE No question about it, Inhumanoids is the flat out scariest cartoon of the 80’s. I remember seeing the figures and monsters in the toy isles at 9 years old and thinking WTH? A giant zombie-bird with an exposed ribcage? A big seaweed monster? Bah! In my ultra logical 9 year old mind I just couldn’t see the appeal. Then I caught the show one Saturday morning and it all made sense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kAErNdaSkQAlthough the toys were a little goofy looking, the monsters as portrayed in the cartoon were pretty damn frightening! The scariest of the bunch was definitely D’compose-the undead horror! This thing was a walking, screeching, building sized zombie-making machine and his exposed ribcage doubles as a jail cell. This is seriously the kind of crap I have nightmares about man! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl-ZymjMHtE&feature=relatedThe figure itself clocks in at a whopping 14 inches or so and was around the same size as the rest of the Inhumanoids. As mentioned before the ribcage swings open to double as a jail cell and there is also head, arm and leg articulation. Basically the entire figure looks like a rotting buzzard and luckily the grossness ends there. Considering that the 80’s were the time of toy novelties and gave us stuff like scratch n’ sniff stickers and Stinkor, I count my lucky stars that they pulled back the reigns on giving D’compose that “real rotting flesh smell” gimmick. Due to the short life of the cartoon series and quick disappearance from toy shelves, finding a D’compose may prove challenging. A loose mint figure will set you back north of $100 on the secondary market. If you can even find someone willing to part with one? | |

| Yep I remember that show and the toys. Never had any. Didn't real want any. And judging from how quickly Inhumanoids was gone, I guess I was far from the only one. | |

| Great review Swaf! I remember seeing these things on the shelves at TRU back when they first came out and i agree they were crazy as hell. I remember they had them on the bottom shelf perfect height for little kids to come along and get scarred half to death as they rounded the corner. I always thought they were cool and i used to have one of the Granite creatures, always wanted a few of the others but never got them. The prices are pretty high up there now so it would be pretty cool if they re released them like MOTU or something! | |

Based on how quickly the show and toys were gone I doubt a relaunch on these is every gonna happen. They weren't too popular the first time. | |

| Transformers UK comic re-printed the series as a backup for awhile that was the first I had heard of the Inhumanoids, unfortunately I wasn't a regular reader of it then so only have a few parts to it. I then saw the toys a few years after but never got any. | |

| Edit that, they have volumes 3 and 4 (90 minutes) but no volume 1 and 2.
