Official The Dark Knight Rises Movie Thread

July 20, 2012 (5 days after my bday, woo hoo!) will be the day we see Chris Nolan's next (and most likely last) Batman movie.

Curiously, it is coming out just 2 weeks after the new Spider Man movie.

It's on, now!

I can't wait for the next Bat-flick.

Batman and Spiderman two weeks apart? Somebody at DC is gonna end up unemployed over this one.

Filming will be starting in April for this. Seems so far away.....

I don't see it happening. If anyone backs off, it will be Spidey. Nolan's Batman is proven, this new Spidey reboot isn't. Summer 2012 will be interesting, for sure.

I hope they do an ultra sexy catwoman in this one.

It looks as if it's almost a lock that the Riddler will be in this film. One of the odds on favorites for the role is Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who worked with Nolan on Inception. Given Nolan's tendancy for working with a lot of the same actors in his other films, this rumor has merrit. We'll know more I imagine once SDCC passes by this weekend.

I for one am all for this. He's a good actor, and I certainly have faith in Nolan. Better him then Johnny Depp, whom I am tired of hearing about.

its somewhat unfortunate b/c he could def. do a good job as a maniacal villain type

but probably best overall for the film

Yeah, I think he's a good actor who isn't used or doesn't take enough serious crazy roles. He's most likely wrong for Batman 3, although you never know. Nolan has suprised before. Everything is pointing to Riddler being in the movie, it's just a question of who will portray him.

yeah I have a feeling he'll be the villain.. although it just seems to be a rehash of the 3rd before
but at least this series is a lot better

Pleeeeeeeeease let the JGL for Riddler rumor be true. I'm so stoked that we are getting closer to Batman 3 news.

Nolan has stated that the Riddler will NOT be the villian.

The Dark Knight Rises.


Nolan has said this will complete the story arc he began in BB, so I imagine this'll be the last Nolan Batflick. Boo.

Yep, Bane will be played by Tom Hardy.

Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle, as well. Will she be Catwoman also? We'll see.

I like these casting choices. Can't wait to see how Nolan incorporates Bane into his Bat-universe.

I'll reserve judgment til I see it.
I wish they chose different bad guys though

Love to see Bane on the big screen again, hopefully more than a Venom junkie this time.
