Inviting New Members

Hey gang I thought I would open up a thread for us all to share some ideas about how we, the site members, can help Rob make this place grow. We are 25 members strong and I know that Rob is real happy about the progress we are making.

I love the folks on here. I have a lot of fun hanging out with all of you. I would like to find a hamdful more folks who would fit in with the rest of us.

This site has a lot to offer, it is far more than just a place for folks who are interested in Rob's game. Look at all the different things we do here--movie reviews, book reviews, TV show reviews, comic book reviews, customs toys, a few of our members are working on some artwork to post, short stories.

Think about all the folks we know. Is there someone who might enjoy the same things we do? Do you have a family member who likes sci fi? Star Trek? Chances are they will love taking about those things with others. Have a workmate who likes movies? Maybe they would enjoy talking about movies on here. Do you have friends on other forums that might enjoy this one? Tell them about it.

What KIND of folks should we invite? Well think abou the things that we all enjoy on here and WHY we are having so much fun. I think the biggest thing is the fact that all of us on here are the type of folks who, despite any differences we might have, look for the similarities between us to build on. I have no doubt we all have our own views on politics, religion, morality and the like, and we could all easily find things to not like about each other. But none of us on here feels the need to do so. So that is the type of person to invite. Believe me I know folks on other sites who very well might come check this out, but I am not gonna invite them. I am only inviting the ones who, like all of us, want to just be fun and drama free.

So use this thread to post your ideas about ways we can help Rob make this great place grow.

Everyone is welcome here. We've got a great group here, and I'd love to see mre great people show up.

I'm happy for all that I have. Just want everyone to know that I appreciate every one of you.

Well I see that some of us have been trying to bring in some new forum members and it is working! IT's good to see some more folks find their way here.

A good thing to remember is that this site is different from any we may have been associated with before or that we are currently associated with. It's a new beginning for all of us.

That being said, it is a good idea not to bring old attitudes, old disagreements, old divisions from outside into this new forum. Some of us have previous associations and may have formed opinions about one another based on those associations.

So if someone stepped on your toes, or was a bit of a rascal somewhere else, let that go. It was over "there". This is a new site with a new attitude about being fun and free of drama.

We can all keep it that way if we work together.

Thanks for the invite. I like the new place you've got here. I'll try not to get mud on the carpet.

That ok Blue because I pee'd in that stein you have 3 shelfs up in your room that is reserved for Blueweiser parties only.

I agree with Rob. I've done a bit of recruiting myself and I've never looked to exclude anyone.
