Segway owner dies after falling off a cliff

Jimi Heselden, Segway owner dies after falling off a cliff near his home in West Yorkshire this weekend.

The 62 year old recent owner of the transportation company was driving his Segway when he fell off the 30-foot cliff and into the River Wharf. A witness reported the accident to the police at around 11:40 in the morning. The police recovered the transportation vehicle and the Segway owner’s dead body.

After having newly purchased the company just last year from Segway inventor Dean Kamen, many are suspecting foul play. The police contradicted this assumption saying “At this time we do not believe the death to be suspicious.”

Segway was first launched as a substitute for short-distance transportation. The vehicle’s battery is rechargeable. It can run for a total distance of 18 miles. The use of this Segway vehicle is still not legally allowed in streets. As the Segway owner dies driving the rechargeable car, one can expect that the legality of using the vehicle will now be even further away.

The Chairman of Hesco Bastion Ltd’s death brings to mind many of his philanthropic works with Help for Heroes and the Leeds Communiy Foudation. Being a man with a generous heart, with over £23 Million in donation, “Segway owner dies” will be news all around the philanthropic world and a great loss to everyone.
