Florida mother pleads guilty to killing baby after crying interrupted her game of 'Farmville'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A north Florida mother has pleaded guilty to shaking her baby to death after the boy's crying interrupted her game on Facebook.

Alexandra V. Tobias pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Wednesday and remains jailed.

The Florida Times-Union reports that she told investigators she was angered because the boy was crying while she was playing the game FarmVille.

The paper also reports that she told investigators she shook the boy, smoked a cigarette to compose herself and then shook him again.

She will be sentenced in December. State guidelines call for 25 to 50 years, but a prosecutor said it could be shorter than that.

A telephone message and an email sent by The Associated Press to her attorney weren't immediately returned.

Personally, I am tired of how everyone gets jail time for crimes that deserve a harsher punishment. It's ridiculous.

Yes, every baby cries because that is their only way to let us know there is a problem. My little son usually cries when I am trying to sleep or sometimes when I am catching up on tv shows I am behind on. Sometimes it is irritating but there is no reason what-so-ever for me to grab him up and do something so stupid to make him be quiet. Dumbassery at it's peak once again!

Jesus. Why we would let this woman out of jail for anything other than a lethal injection is completely beyond me.

That is the worst excuse I have heard to justify child abuse and murder she really needs help.

Everyone want to get even more angry? She signed a deal. DA plead it out instead of going for the jugular. 25 - 50 years? Lets say she gets the max (I doubt it...). 50 years, first time felony offense (guessing)... I bet she serves less than half and is paroled.
