Just watched Hardware for the first time since '91 when I caught it on Cinemax. What a great little gem this movie is! It's inspired by a story from the 2000 A.D. comics that also featured Judge Dredd and the setting is basically cursed earth. It's a great micro-budget horror thriller that is very well directed and features nice little cameos from Iggy Pop and Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead! There are many nods to the original Terminator in this film and the effects and set design are top-notch for the time period (and the $1,500,000 budget!). I still can't believe this film is 20 years old due to the fact that it holds up extremely well! The dvd may be a little tough to track down in brick and mortar stores but those of you with netflix should definitely add it to your list.

I give it a solid 8 out of 10.
