So, for those of you who actually watch wrestling (I find myself really enjoying it), I will break down and review Raw each week. We'll have some fun with it, and feel free to join in if you'd like!

I haven't watched it in a couple of years now actually. I went to a live SMACK DOWN! in Green Bay, WI at the Resche Center and then later that year also a live RAW! and it's just not the same watching it on tv after you've been to a live show. Sad thing is, there's like 3 or 4 of the wrestlers that I saw that aren't alive now. The best part was after the SMACK DOWN! show, we headed over to Hooters and a bunch of the WWF (not the WWE at that time!) wrestlers were there. Can't think of all of their names offhand but I remeber Matt Hardy, Rikishi, Albert, Edge, Dawn-Marie (I think that was her name? She had a match against Torrie Wilson), Al Snow and Lidia and her "boyfriend" from the show, whatever his name was at the time. There was like 3 others that were there too but I can't think of their names. But Matt Hardy gave me a nasty look when I walked by him heading to the bathroom and the only reason I think he did that was he remebered me from the show. We had 2nd or 3rd row ringside seats and when he came out to wrestle, he did his trademark hop up on the ropes and lean out towards the crowd and I yelled to him that I just did Lita in her dressing room before the show! For some odd reason just before I yelled that to him, it got super quite, like pin drop quiet in there and he heard every word of it! He gave me the nastiest stare I've ever seen and he started to climb over the ropes like he was going to come into the crowd after me (which would have been a bad move on his part, he's not that big and kind of short too) and then the entrance music started for his opponant and he stopped and hoped off the ropes and back into the center of the ring. That was when Lita and Matt Hardy were supposedly an item, at least for the show and they were having some problems because he thought Jeff and Lita were messing around behind his back. That's also why he and Jeff weren't The Hardy Boyz at that time and he was going alone. Rikishi, Albert and 2 others were sitting at the table right next to ours and Rikishi is one big ass mofo, so is Albert. Dawn-Marie looked like she got into a fight with makeup and the makeup won, it was caked on pretty bad. But they were all really cool and signing anything for the fans, even a metal folding chair for one of them!

Cool story!

I once bumped into this tall dude, waiting in line for a beer. He looks at me and apologizes, and it is Edge! It was cool.

Edge was pretty cool, actually surprised since he's such a pretty boy showman when he's in the ring or trash talking it up.

Over the years, I have really liked what they've doen with Edge, for the most part.

My wife used to work in a T-Mobile call center. At the time the WWE used T-Mobile cell service. She has had conversations with Sean Micheals and Shane McMahon, trying to help them with various phone issues. Shane used to request her when he would call for help with anythng.

She used to work at a diner in Jersey where the Samoans would come at eat.

One of them now runs a school for wrestlers in my area. The Rock and Stone Cold are both from my area.

I met Al Snow a couple years back at a Comic Con.

I've met Kevin Nash, Rhino and the Steiners (all my Detroit).

I had a chance to chat w/ Al Snow and Mick Foley, too.

Bret hart has re signed with WWE. I think this is fantastic, as it will be great to see him back!

One of the guys that was in the Spirit Squad is from my home town and he and some of the guys in my band grew up together.Well he came into town for some family stuff and he came to my bands show we were doing that weekend.It was cool because he brought his girlfriend.





















OH his girlfriend is Torrie Wilson!!!!!

Agreed. Let's get over it, already. But maybe a McMahon vs Hart match at Wrestlemania?

This has been a long time in the making.
The you screwed Bret chant will never die, esp. not in Canada and especially in Montreal.
There have been so many ample opportunities for Hart to come back in some capacity whether or not it was realized by himself or the company but this should prove quite interesting. Can the clout of The Excellence of Execution truly stand up to the power of Hulk-A-Mania? I guess we'll see once TNA and WWE go head to head on Monday nights!!

This just goes to show you that any kid of Monday Night wars are good for Wrestling. I think we're gonna see a lot more crazy things happening.


And honestly, Bret Hart coming back is much bigger then Hogan once again reappearing cuz he's broke. It'll be great to see the Hitman back! The first confrontation betwen him and Vince should be awesome.

And he is signed right up until 2 weeks after Wrestlemania.

I dont know if any of you watched Monday night.....but I dont think Johnny Damon should ever be allowed to hold a mic again.

Agreed. Raw is actually getting WORSE each week. The 3 hour one with Dennis Miller was just aweful, and now that crap....

Ugh. You'd think with TNA ging on a Monday, they'd at lest try to put out a product that doesn't stink like a skunk.


And Tommy Dreamer just left? I guess he'll be joining TNA soon.

This should be awesome! It might make it worth watchin again! I wanna see a Bret Hart/Shawn Micheals match!

WWE isn't going to pull out all stops until the Jan. 4th show.
Vince didnt want to create or progress any story lines until then b/c that will be the night that Hogan debuts on TNA and presumably Hart on RAW to combat that.
I have a feeling that RAW is going to take a huge hit with TNA on Mondays.
Perhaps Im still stuck in the nostalgic days of wrestling.. but there are no gimmicks anymore.. no excitement to the stories.. TNA seems to have that a bit more than WWE so I hope this is good for both companies.
Let the Monday Night Wars reignite!

The Monmday Night wars are desperatel;y needed. When they ended, wrestling as a whole really started going downhill. Lack of competition bred complacency. It is a proven thing that competition is a good thing, especially in the entertainment market.

The dvd that WWE put out about the Monday Night Wars was amazing!
WCW really had their shit together at the time and took WWE for a ride!
It sucked when they made a few mistakes that ultimately cost them the company. I hope this feud epically explodes and both companies go all out!

Me too! I miss the days of "anything can happen".

A little less silly skits, a bit more actual wrestling, please.
