HTS Madness

Well today was the day that Hasbro said that all SDCC Exclusives would be up on HTS.
Many people are still jaded from last years Slaughtergate fiasco in which the SDCC Slaughter and variant never actually made it to HTS, even though it was reported that very few were up for a matter of seconds.
To my surprise Hasbro actually followed through this year and first to arrive was the Starscream Skystriker.
At $50 it was def a good pickup for those who could navigate all the way to the checkout screen.
I had it in my cart but since the Zarana's had not been posted I decided to pass. I already have a Skystriker coming from BBTS.
As I refreshed all of a sudden both Zarana's were online and for sale!! I jumped at the chance, even with the higer shipping cost to Canada it would be cheaper than ebay. A pair of Zaranas was going for $110 and up not including shipping.
After about 35-45mins of waiting, a couple hundred screen refreshes and a few hail mary's I was at the final checkout screen... as I hit submit, actually it was a broken image link so I waited with baited breath, the screen popped up and said one moment.. I couldn't believe it.. I did it! I scored both Zarana's for just over $62 USD. I immediately checked my email and low and behold an email confirmation was waiting for me! I don't know how I lucked out today but for once I was able to get what I wanted from HTS even if I was tested with multiple timeout errors and endless refreshes. Cold Slither Zarana had only lasted another 10-20 mins and reg. Zarana not much longer after that. The Skystriker went quickly and due to all the problems I had encountered in checking out I am happy I removed it from my cart as HTS makes you go back and remove the items from your cart before you can proceed. Had I kept it I surely would have missed out on the CS Zarana and probably the regular Zarana as well.

Now if I can just get an MOTUC Queen Marlena figure on Mon. August 1st I'll be a happy camper!

Congrats on the haul Blay. I hope this is like 08 CC and they put a few more up here and there for the next few weeks. I still have half of that Groupon from the other week to use!

Psssh if I can score one I will. Damn the Blay for his score. He got in my way of Zarana! He Plastic-blocked me!

That Sentinel looks sweet. I almost got one, but I would have just resold him to make a buck.
I decided just to grab both Zaranas as they are part of my personal collection

Hell I was online all day Monday last year and I didn't even see them go up. I was actually in SD for work then, I think they went up from the time I left the hotel to the time I got to the office.

I never saw TTT sarge available but I had a USA sarge in my cart and couldn't finish the order. tried 6 times and nada on the 7th try he was "sold out"

Last year the club had Sarge. Painless process.

As with Cobra Commander a couple of years ago, Zarana was serious bandwidth overload.

After nearly 2 hours of frustration, I got a single pink-shirted Zarana.

I had to get CS Zarana on eBay and am still without a Starscream at the moment.

I was about 20 minutes late to the CC game in 08 but I lucked out and got both a blue and black suit. I partially joined the Club this year to get Zarana and Starstriker because of Slaughtergate but we all know how that turned out.

That didn't work very well for anyone that I know.
I still need a blue suit cc. lol

Got my Strascream Skystriker in the mail today! Oh what a beauitful sight it is. I just had to take him out to peek, but put him back in his cardboard casket.

Dammit. I should have pre-ordered one.

Stupid HTS!!

It is worth the 128.00 I spent on him!

I'm hoping I will be able to catch one for around $150.00 now.
